Reducing stress and creating Zen environments, one floral arrangement at a time.

Nefertiti San Miguel is an international mixed media artist, Ikebana practitioner, metal smith and jewelry designer, performer, balloon twister, cultural diversity advocate and trailblazer who has long been raising eyebrows in many different industries.

“From a young age, I have always intertwined arts and science in everything I do. My work showcases that aspect of my personality and my creative process as a mixed media artist.”

Nefertiti is the founder of Etnia Fusion and Aeolus Balloon Art. With a reputation for rocking her Gothic style with a hint of badassery, she currently resides in Boston (MA) and lives it up as if the world is coming to an end soon – virus apocalypse or not! And while globally we seem to be upside down, inside out and in the midst of epic chaos, she chooses to find beauty and inner peace by cultivating and sharing her Ikebana skills, adorning her space for private enjoyment and brightening the life of many people regularly – both in person and virtually – as she is part of the creative team at a flower shop that specializes in exotic arrangements.

Upon deep reflection of our current societal landscape with its challenges, implications, limitations and even scarcities, Nefertiti decided to refine her signature arts residencies and educational programs, adding neuroscience and psychoimmunology into the equation, along with some Japanese philosophy and Humanistic Buddhism. The result: a hybrid of healing arts and stress management tips, tricks and hacks for better living and a more Zen environment.

“My work is inspired by the spirit of Mottainai (Japanese concept of mindfulness and respect for the land / one’s surroundings), so I often select unusual combinations of materials for my designs (fresh and dry), along with any leftover goods from commissioned pieces so there is no waste of resources.”

Some of Nefertiti’s most recent clients include colleges across the country and public library branches all over the New England Region. She truly cherishes all opportunities to deliver smiles, domestically and abroad, to people of all ages.
