I started my makeup artistry and hair styling business in 2017 at the age of 26 while still working full time in HR in an unrelated industry. I had the full support of my family, friends and my husband.
in 2019 I started studying my Diploma of Beauty Therapy at a specialised beauty college, and it was towards the end of that year that tragedy struck and my 29 year old husband was killed in a motor vehicle accident. My whole world was changed in an instant.
Over the following months I had a choice to give up on everything I had built, or to push through and persevere. I thankfully chose the later, and channelled the pain into passion for my work. I released a skin care line which ultimately I ended up stopping, but learnt an massive amount from it and am so happy to have done that.
I moved cities a few years later, and essentially started from scratch again and had to rebuild my business, and now it is the biggest its ever been.
I am now training new local artists, running workshops and still working in the wedding and beauty industry daily.
